On the week of John Henry Lorimer's birthday, join Martin Kemp, art historian and curator of ‘The Lorimer’s, a Family of the arts in Fife’ (1983) and Charlotte Lorimer, co-curator of ‘Reflections: The Life and Light of John Henry Lorimer’ (2021-2022) as they look at what the restoration of Kellie Castle meant to the Lorimer family. Together, they will remember the role each family member played and look at the impact Kellie had on their life and work, focusing on painter John Henry Lorimer but with reference to artist Hannah im Thurn (née Lorimer), architect Sir Robert Lorimer and sculptor Hew Lorimer. This will also be the first public showing of a new portrait by Lorimer acquired after our recent exhibition by the City Art Centre with support from our Friends.

This event will take place in person at the City Art Centre.
