A Festival of Museums event. Inspired and informed by our Robert Callender: Plastic Beach
… poetry of the everyday exhibition, explore the creative potential of found seaside objects; both natural and man-made to create a seashore inspired textured piece. Here you will re-purpose these objects and create a collage of texture utilising fabrics, paint, embroidery, and seashore finds such as shells, driftwood, rope, sea-glass and dried seaweed etc. Encompass the sensory pleasures of being by the sea and re-create this in a work of art to cherish, frame or give as a gift. With artist Rachael Forbes. Booking essential. To book, please contact the City Art Centre reception on 0131 529 3993 or visit www.edinburghmuseums.org.uk
