Come and meet the men of the Edinburgh City Guard as they patrol the Royal Mile and Canon Gait of Edinburgh on the lookout for Jacobite spys! The Edinburgh City Guard will be on station at the Museum of Edinburgh throughout the day, showing the weapons and uniforms they would’ve worn during the Jacobite Rebellion of 1745. Drill and Weapon demonstrations: 12pm and 2pm
Open Streets in Edinburgh temporarily open streets to people by closing them to cars. Open Streets seeks to help to increase public exploration, use and awareness of the connected areas in the old town. We are delighted that our four Royal Mile venues are participating with a series of free lively events.
