This lecture will illustrate various aspects of Portobello’s history and culture using images of people and places. The juxtaposition of leisure and industry within this community is exemplified, showing how these successfully co-existed.
Dr Margaret Munro is Chairperson and a director of Portobello Heritage Trust. She is also a director of, and contributor to, The Portobello Reporter, a quarterly community newspaper produced by volunteers. Margaret moved to Portobello when she married and has lived there for 50 years.
