This performance will explore the various themes found in the art of Will Maclean through music, Gaelic song, poetry and story. Award winning Scottish author James Robertson will lead three of Scotland’s top traditional musicians through various aspects Maclean’s acclaimed art. Piper Allan MacDonald from Glen Uig is a leading light in the Gaelic music scene, a renowned composer, piper, tutor, singer and lecturer on Gaelic music. Revered Scots fiddler John Martin has performed worldwide with legendary bands Ossian, The Easy Club and The Tannahill Weavers over a long career. Multi instrumentalist Kevin Macleod, the artist’s cousin, is a member of the top Scottish ceilidh band The Occasionals.
