As we approach the magic of Christmas, join us for a two-part exploration of family and home with multi-media artist Suzy Cavill. John Henry Lorimer was a master of light, and his paintings of interiors don’t just show beautiful aesthetics but also illuminate moments in time that bring us into rooms occupied by living breathing people. His focus especially on women and children, and in particular their relationships, thoughts and desires are evident in his work. Through his paintings we see ourselves. In the first video, Suzy will talk about the intimacy of how John Henry shows real life through his paintings and sketches in particular Suzy brings out the stories of the women in these rooms. In the second video, Suzy will encourage you to create a scene that captures a moment in time and helps you to appreciate the beauty in your own life. Suzy focuses on windows and encourages us to meditate and reflect on life.
