Come along to this paper-craft workshop and construct a fantastic collage of your favourite mythical creatures.

Will you leave with a scaly dragon, a beautiful unicorn, a griffin, a kelpie or a werewolf? You can also use our templates to create and write some notes on how best to care for it! With artist Tessa Asquith-Lamb.

A history of magic at Edinburgh City Libraries

Have you ever wanted to delve into Divination, ponder the peculiarities of potions and discover magical creatures? Now you can!

In partnership with the British Library, Edinburgh City Libraries will be capturing the traditions of folklore and magic at the heart of the Harry Potter stories. Delving deep into their archives to bring you a display of magical treasures and tales from your local area, celebrate the 20th anniversary of the publication of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone with Edinburgh City Libraries. We are proud to be working with libraries and be part of this city-wide celebration at the Writers' Museum and Lauriston Castle.
