Today is World Nature Photography Day and we are celebrating.
In this workshop we will explore and interpret the mark-making and layering of Victoria Crowe's imaginative works.
Inspired by ‘Victoria Crowe - 50 Years of Painting’, join artist Tessa Asquith-Lamb for a detailed still life painting and collage workshop inspired by themes her work. Using acrylics and varied drawing materials we will work on a layered painting incorporating still life and landscape elements.
Artist Victoria Crowe often uses windows in her paintings as a way of evoking the passing of time. Using examples in the exhibition as inspiration, join us for a mixed media painting class exploring the concept of looking out into a landscape. With artist Erik Petrie.
In honour of National Book Lovers Day, make your own hand-bound leather or pleather sketchbook to use and treasure for years to come. Take inspiration from the Victoria Crowe exhibition and experiment with a range of mark-making techniques to create decorative facing pages for your sketchbook.
