Digital Adult Craft Session (or for anyone)
A Painting and Collage workshop inspired by the exhibition ‘National Treasure: The Scottish Modern Arts Association’.
For this two-part live stream workshop, artist Tessa Asquith-Lamb will explore the continual appeal of the still life in art, both as a main subject and as an accessory to larger figure studies, taking inspiration from selected works in our wide-ranging exhibition; 'National Treasure: The Scottish Modern Arts Association'.
In the second video we will concentrate on still life works by John Maxwell and S J Peploe, exploring groupings of objects to create a collage with painted elements of familiar items that feel balanced and at home together. Enjoy the placement of objects as you move them around until you sense they feel right, and transfer that sense of balance to paper.
