On Friday 13 November at 2pm, join us for a Facebook Live event on the City Art Centre Facebook page.

Celebrate Robert Louis Stevenson’s birthday with Daniel Allison, oral storyteller and author of Scottish Myths & Legends.

From outside the Writers' Museum in Edinburgh, Daniel will tell tales and recite poetry which honours the three great writers celebrated in the museum; Robert Burns, Robert Louis Stevenson and Sir Walter Scott. Expect historical and fictional tales full of adventure, excitement and wonder.

Daniel Allison is a Scottish author, oral storyteller and podcaster. He is the author of Scottish Myths & Legends, The Shattering Sea and Finn & The Fianna; and hosts the House of Legends Podcast. Daniel performs throughout Scotland and internationally.

No need to book in advance - just tune into the City Art Centre Facebook page at 2pm.

This event is part of The Scottish International Storytelling Festival’s Big Scottish Story Ripple. #storyripple

Pairing local storytellers with local events - offering good deeds back to your community to let kindness ripple.

Take Part in The Big Scottish Story Ripple

Community groups and schools can take part in The Big Scottish Story Ripple (#StoryRipple) by holding a storytelling event led by a professional storyteller from our Storytelling Directory.

Groups can apply for a subsidy that will cover the cost of their storyteller’s fees.  In return, successful applicants must offer a good deed back to their local community on or before St Andrew’s Day – continuing the ripple of kindness.
