Numbering over 5,000 artworks, the City Art Centre’s fine art collection traces the history of the visual arts in Scotland from the 17th century to present day. The collection continues to grow every year through new purchases, donations and bequests – acquisitions that fill historical gaps and introduce contemporary talents. Fifty recently acquired artworks are currently on display in the exhibition Incoming: New Acquisitions at the City Art Centre. In this online tour, curator Dr Helen Scott introduces a selection of them, including pieces by the late Robert Blomfield,  Kate Downie, Rachel Maclean, Alison Watt, David Eustace and Thomas Good.
