It is June 1906, Mr and Mrs Reid have invited their friends, Mr George Monkton and his wife Marguerite Marigold, the respected musician and composer, to stay for the weekend as both couples celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary this year. Mrs Reid is also an accomplished musician and they plan to hold a piano recital. Can Mr Barton, Mrs Reid’s brother, be persuaded to sing an accompaniment? After all he did give the piano to his sister as a wedding present! Meanwhile, Cook is having some trouble with the celebratory cake …….!
