Collection enquiries and donations

The Museum of Childhood is currently preparing for an exciting major refurbishment of the ground floor gallery.  Therefore at this busy time, between 1 April 2016 and 31 January 2017, we are unable to accept donations (except for items from the 1980s), provide specialist access to the collections, or answer enquiries about the collections.
You may wish to address general questions about childhood through the ages to our colleagues in other specialist museums such as:
Victoria & Albert Museum of Childhood, Bethnal Green, London
Highland Museum of Childhood
Sudbury Hall & the National Trust Museum of Childhood

If you have an enquiry about visiting the Museum of Childhood, then please call 0131 529 4142 or email
