The exhibition will look at the effect of the War on people in Edinburgh.

It will take as its basis a map of Edinburgh, recording a selection of areas ‘touched’ by the War in different ways.

It will include material on the zeppelin raids, the Gretna disaster, recruitment, conscientious objectors, women at the Front and undertaking War Work, children’s experiences of War and the loss of so many of the City’s sons. It will contain objects from the Social History, Museum of Childhood and Applied Art collections.
