Scars on the City explores the impact of World War I on the people and places of Edinburgh. Find out about the night the Zeppelins came, dropping bombs over the city. Hear about the misery of rationing, the daily grind of war work and the fun and excitement of wartime games and toys.

Scars on the City is packed with fascinating objects including exploded bomb parts, munitions workers’ badges, colourful board games and lovable wartime dolls. Striking film footage and photographs help to bring to life the time when war came charging off the battlefield and up to our front doors.
