E is for Enlightenment
People and places, clubs and conversations all came together in the 18th century to make Edinburgh one of the great Enlightenment capitals of Europe. In this illustrated talk Sheila Szatkowski introduces the noteworthy buildings and people that made Edinburgh the beating heart of the Scottish Enlightenment.

Sheila Szatkowski is a writer and historian based in Edinburgh.  She is currently completing a biography on the life and unpublished works of John Kay (1742-1826).
