Admission:

Brass rubbing is available at the Museum of Edinburgh only. Admission to the venue is free, but it will cost between £2 and £6 for you to make a rubbing to take home with you.

Facilities:

There is no café at the Museum of Edinburgh , but there are plenty of cafés, pubs, restaurants and shops nearby on the Royal Mile.

There are toilets available in the Museum of Edinburgh.

We sell a selection of miniature reproduction rubbing kits and other brass rubbing-related items.

Accessibility:

The Brass Rubbing Centre is located in the Museum of Edinburgh, which has a single step entrance. Being fully-sighted is not a requirement for making a brass rubbing, as the designs can be followed by touch. Guide dogs welcome. There is no disabled toilet available.
