In 2016 two hangars at the National Museum of Flight will reopen with new exhibitions.

 
One of these hangars will focus on military aviation. This talk will look at the rich collections of First World War military aviation held by National Museums Scotland and the evolving plans for their redisplay.

Ian Brown is Assistant Curator of Aviation with National Museums Scotland and is the lead curator on the National Museum of Flight Development Plan. He is an authority on the history of radar and air defence systems and the author of several books on military history including East Lothian at War.
