Sir Robert Clerk (11th Bt) recently retired from practice as a Chartered Surveyor and Land Agent. Along with other members of his family he owns and manages Penicuik Estate which includes farming, forestry and recreational activities for members of the public. He is a Trustee of the Penicuik House Preservation Trust and Lord-Lieutenant of Midlothian.
